Starting the New Year right.

January will be busy at the Swansea Public Library.  Story hours will be starting the week of January 10th.  The Friends are holding a Coffee House Fundraiser on January 22.  We will be holding a Sign Language Workshop on January 22 also.  Plus our regular programs resume including all our Book Clubs, the Swansea Coupon Club, The Newshounds, the Swansea Crafters, The Swansea Scrapbookers.  Look for our new programs also.  Happy New Year!

February Friends Membership Drive

The Friends of the Swansea Public Library are hosting their annual Membership Drive during the month of February.  Now is the time to become a member of the Friends group and help support the wonderful work that they do.  This is a great way to help the community.  Stop by the library on Saturday February 20th for a cup of coffee and a snack and learn more about this important resource.  Build a community and create the future!

Summer is a coming…time to dream and read

The summer reading programs begin July 6, 2009.  Stop by the library to learn more about our Starship Adventure Reading Program along with other summer activities.

Book and Bake Sale

This coming Saturday, June 27th, The Friends of the Swansea Public Library will be having their annual Book and Bake sale at Christ Church, located at 57 Main Street, in Historic Swansea Village.  Friday, June 26th, Friends are invited to the preview from 7-8:30PM.  There is a $10 fee for the general public to attend the preview.  Stock up on summer reading.  Browse the books, bargains and baked goods.  This is a good chance to join the Friends organization.  For more information or to drop off donations call the library at 508-674-9609.
